The Tom Atkin Hall is the only community-owned, not for profit hall on the Gold Coast and is a beacon for the rich history of our great suburb.
In rejuvenating the space, we’re not only able to offer the many community groups that utilise the space with better facilities, but we’re also setting the tone for the future of our suburb that puts the long-term residents and the way of life we’ve come to love, FIRST.

What are we doing to upgrade the hall
We’re re-invigorating the exterior of the building to a fresh new state, reminiscent of a vibrant 50’s art deco cinema, while also introducing a number of functional upgrades including disabled access + facilities. To do so however, we need the support of the Tugun community to raise funds!

Would you like your business or family name immortalised in local Tugun History?
Help us rebuild our 55 year old community hall and in return for your donation, we’ll be proud to dedicate a brass plaque in your name, your family or business name.
100% of proceeds go to the project, as run by the Tugun Progress Association volunteer committee and all donations are tax deductible.

We have 2 permanent donor placements available:
– Brass wall plaques are available for donations of $5,000
– Slices in the 1.1m wide floor circle start at donations of $10,000 or more (width dependant on donation size)

Other ways to get Involved
As much as anything, we need to get the word out to all of our residents past and present about your hall rejuvenation project. A conversation in the street or a share on your social media may very well connect us with the people we need, to keep the build going.
